Once Josh is done in the booth, we have a look at the completed sunburst on #464.
The top sunburst has the base center colors rubbed, and the outer burst fading is done with the airbrush because the spruce can really soak up a lot of finish.
As the color has developed, the curly back has started to reveal some signs of birdseye figure!
The bright to dark fade of the points and curly sides really adds a lot of depth to the finish. Once it gets a few coats of varnish on it, then we will start to see some more depth.
For the next several weeks, #464 will head back to Josh's shop where he will begin working on the varnish finish. We will hopefully get some more photos back from Josh so we can continue documenting the build!
Stay tuned for more!
