Early Gibson F5 Fern with block inlay.

1929 Gibson F-5 “Fern”
-Serial 89722. Shipping date of 1933
-Fern peghead inlay with “wide” tuner spacing
-gold hardware
-hexagon tuning machine grommets
-factory block inlay starting at 3rd (not original fretboard)
-lacquer finish that had been French polished at one time
-White celluloid binding
-owned by Herschel Sizemore in the late 80’s and early 90’s
- Adirondack spruce top
-maple back and sides, back has blistered maple and curl quilting
-late 20’s Tri color bursting
-original red case with dark pink interior
-factory pickguard
-serial number stamped in back of peghead (some believe it was originally shipped out of the US)
